It’s the holiday season, so that means holiday parties and holiday food! I made this frosting to top my ‘semi-homemade’ Red Velvet Cake for our works potluck luncheon, it is a simple four-ingredient recipe for simple cream cheese frosting. To me, it tasted like cheesecake and that is almost what I named it, but you can easily make it taste sweeter by adding more confectioner sugar.

Simple Cream Cheese Frosting
Ingredients:
- 2 8 oz packages of cream cheese (softened, room temperature)
- 1/2 cup of butter (softened, room temperature)
- 2 cups confectioners sugar
Directions:
- Beat the softened cream cheese and butter together.
- Once creamy, add the confectioner sugar a 1/4 cup at a time, beat until well combined keeping a creamy consistency.
- You can taste test your frosting to reach desired sweetness and consistency.
- Keep refrigerated.
