Beer Braised Onions

 onionsbeer braised onionsWe love making different kinds of burgers, and when I made them the other night, one of the toppings I piled onto my cheeseburger were beer braised onions. These onions are packed with flavor and they are very quick and easy to make. What is best about this topping; is that it is good on, under, or in and type of protein.

  • 1 large onion
  • 1 tbs butter
  • 1 tbs sugar
  • 3/4 cup of beer


  1. Thinly slice the large onion
  2. In a skillet on medium heat, melt butter. Add the onion cooking for 5-6 min or until tender. Stir frequently.
  3. Add the beer and tablespoon of sugar.
  4. Cook until beer has absorbed and the onion becomes lightly brown. About 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.
