We love making different kinds of burgers, and when I made them the other night, one of the toppings I piled onto my cheeseburger were beer braised onions. These onions are packed with flavor and they are very quick and easy to make. What is best about this topping; is that it is good on, under, or in and type of protein.
Beer Braised Onions
- 1 large onion
- 1 tbs butter
- 1 tbs sugar
- 3/4 cup of beer
- Thinly slice the large onion
- In a skillet on medium heat, melt butter. Add the onion cooking for 5-6 min or until tender. Stir frequently.
- Add the beer and tablespoon of sugar.
- Cook until beer has absorbed and the onion becomes lightly brown. About 15 minutes. Stir occasionally.
